The set was built on the bay side of Mountstuart Dry Dock, to represent waterside buildings on the river Thames. The production was in four parts for the BBC and starred Paul McGann, Timothy Spall, Anna Friel, Keeley Hawes and Pam Ferris, Johnny Depp.......The blurb said, 'Intertwining tales of love, greed, and secret
identities in Charles Dickens's 1860s London.' (Just like the real dock!)
This blog is just a collection of photographs that I have taken in over forty years. They are in no particular order of importance....just pictures of people and places.

End of an Era....but life goes on........
Eli Jenkins Celebration....well, some of it!!
Friday 27th June 1997, the final work day for the staff of Associated British Ports. They decide to visit 'Eli Jenkins' pub on the bay. It was a rather subdued affair at which a lot of coffee and cucumber sandwiches were consumed.....and if you believe that you'll believe anything!
